New Study Shows that Breathing Air is Linked to Staying Alive!

Ok so now that I have your attention and hopefully you got a good laugh, let's talk about lung health!

I can not tell you how many times I've had a conversation, a call, or a text in the last 2 weeks asking if I had anything to help with constant coughing, tightness in the chest, and/or help with just being about to breathe better.

How many of you are dealing with the same thing?

I know I did and anyone that has experienced this knows it can be scary. When you don't feel like you can get a deep breath sometimes you feel like you are suffocating. So what can you do?

What can you take or alter that doesn't include popping a pill?

Studies have shown that Ozone therapy can help. I did this with my integrative health doc back when my grandson was born. I went every day for a week and wow what a difference. I had a lung infection and it was rough but I stuck to it and my body wasn't compromised by the side-effects of antibiotics.

What else helps? Herbs!

Let me elaborate. There are several herbs that you can either make tea with and drink hot or cold, make herbal tinctures with, or even cough drops.

My go to and the one that I have been sending home with several people including my land maintenance guy and my father is made with 3 herbs. Yes you could include a couple others but these seem to make a difference rather quickly.

Mullein, Peppermint, and German Chamomile. 

So what are the benefits of these herbs and how do they help?

Mullein: It's a top pick for lung stuff because it's an expectorant. Clears mucus, offers lung and throat relief. Sip as tea, make a vinegar tincture, or even roll it up and smoke it. Oh yes, smoking… it is allowed.

German Chamomile: There's so much I could say about this amazing flower. Because of its antispasmodic properties it helps relieve tension in the muscles making the expansion of the lungs easier for breathing. Chamomile is also well known for helping with anxiety almost immediately after ingesting. Be on the lookout for another blog specifically about this herb in the future.

Peppermint: We all know peppermint keeps the breath minty fresh but did you know it acts as a bronchodilator? It helps to open up airways making it an amazing aid for shortness of breath.

Most people want to know where to get these ingredients so I’ve made it super easy for you.

I’ve put together a couple of lung health bundles just for you! 

This 1st pack includes a blend of the 3 for you to make a simple tea by steeping for at least 5 minutes (this helps the constituents of the Mullein to fully release into the tea). With it being summer, I just pour it over ice, add my favorite local honey and voila! SO SO GOOD! An added benefit is the coolness that the peppermint brings to the body. It’s my go-to drink for my days out on the farm or a relaxing beach day.

The bonus bundle adds individual packs of each herb Mullein, Peppermint, and German Chamomile. That way you can use them as you want. Most enjoy smoking the Mullein when undergoing respiratory issues in addition to drinking the tea. A little tip, add a pinch of the peppermint to give it a better flavor. Not that the flavor is bad but this makes it exceptional. The chamomile can be used as a face masque or chest masque when mixed with a little milk. Eyeball the ration to make a semi-thick paste. Take the chamomile flower and grind it up then add milk 1 tablespoon at a time. Spread it on the chest area to relax the muscles. Add a little peppermint for a boost to help breathing.

In closing, I want to leave you with a few things for you to be thinking about. In 2020 when the “vid” hit, we didn’t know what was happening. Now that we are more informed and things are coming out, many of you have begun to do your own research and I applaud you. There will be things that hit us every year, and I believe with my whole heart that it’s time for us to take our health back the “farma” way…back to our roots. God gave us plants and so much more to help us stay healthy and get healthy, but we have gotten away from it for far too long. 

I hope you will allow your body to heal naturally so that your immune system will begin to operate at optimum levels the way it was created to do. When we continue to take over the counter meds and prescribed meds, it masks symptoms and most of the time will not address the root causes. I realize there are exceptions here but stick with me. These meds have caused many side effects that have become normal and that is not a good thing. What if you started feeling good…like REALLY GOOD! I would bet that you don’t even realize what REALLY GOOD feels like. I would bet that you might even thing it’s euphoria and not “reality”. Well I’m here to give you hope.
